QANTM strengthens ASEAN footprint with Henry Goh acquisition

QANTM has moved to accelerate its ASEAN growth strategy, announcing the acquisition of 100% of Henry Goh Sdn Bhd and Henry Goh (S) Pte Ltd, one of the region’s most established intellectual property practices.

The acquisition expands QANTM’s presence in Malaysia and Singapore and positions the group for stronger growth in ASEAN, which is one of the world’s most active IP filing regions.

Founded in 1977, Henry Goh advises more than 1,300 international clients across Malaysia and Singapore, employing nearly 100 skilled IP professionals. The practice provides comprehensive IP, patent, trademark and litigation support services to a diverse client base, including multinational and Fortune 500 companies. The client base includes leading European, American and Asian companies, and some of the world’s largest IP rights holders.

The deal adds scale, capability, and market access as QANTM builds a leading one-stop IP platform across the ASEAN and the broader APAC region. On completion, QANTM’s ASEAN footprint will increase to more than 150 IP professionals serving over 3000 IP rights holders. In the wider APAC region, QANTM will have approximately 500 professionals across 5 countries, including significant business development resources.

ASEAN attracts approximately 55,000 IP filings annually, with strong activity from the United States, Japan and China. Regional initiatives such as ASPEC+ are expected to further strengthen ASEAN’s appeal as an IP filing destination.

QANTM is pleased that Henry Goh’s senior leaders will remain in place to provide continuity in leadership and support clients, teams and a seamless integration. Henry Goh will benefit from QANTM’s shared services platform and global client reach. 

Completion is expected by late September.
